1. Information We Collect
- Account information — Your name and email address provided via Sign in with Apple. Used for account identification and support.
- Subscription status — Your App Store subscription state (active status and expiration). Payment details (such as card numbers) are processed by Apple and never reach us.
- Profile image — Stored on our servers only if you set one.
- Connection history — Records of partners you connected with for live shooting (partner user ID and timestamp), used for one-tap reconnection.
- Live-capture quota usage — We store a capture ID, quota month, and timestamp to enforce and share the Free monthly limit across your devices and app reinstalls. This record contains no photo data or photo content.
- Usage and device information — Google Analytics for Firebase collects an app-instance ID, app launches, screen views, sessions, feature-use events, subscription-related events, device model, OS, language, and approximate region. Approximate region is derived from a masked IP address. We do not send photos, names, email addresses, or Melpi user IDs. Advertising identifiers (IDFA) and IDFV are not collected.
2. Your Photos
Live-shooting photos are sent directly between devices over an encrypted peer-to-peer connection and are never stored on or sent to our servers. Photos are kept only on the receiving device.
Photos are saved to your device’s photo library only when you explicitly choose to save them (or enable auto-save in settings).
3. How We Use Information
- Providing the App’s features (accounts, live shooting, reconnection, subscriptions)
- Understanding usage, improving features, and planning new features
- Support and troubleshooting
- Keeping the service safe (preventing abuse)
4. Third Parties
We do not sell or share personal information with third parties except as required by law. The App relies on the following infrastructure providers, which process data on our behalf:
- Apple — Sign-in authentication and subscription payment processing
- Cloudflare — Hosting for our servers, database, and image storage
- Google Firebase / Google Analytics — Measuring and analyzing App usage with an anonymous app-instance ID; data is not used for personalized advertising ( Firebase Privacy and Security)
5. Retention and Deletion
Account information, connection history, profile images, and live-capture quota usage are retained while your account exists. Deleting your account (Settings → Account → Delete Account in the app) removes this data from our servers. Photos on your device are removed when you delete the app.
Analytics information is not linked to your Melpi account and is retained or deleted under our Google Analytics data-retention settings and Google’s policies. Therefore, deleting your account does not allow us to identify and individually delete Analytics information that has already been stored anonymously or in aggregate form.
6. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Significant changes will be announced on this page.
